Keto Cheesy Garlic Shrimp Sandwich is delicious. It has a blend of different flavors like cheese, garlic, and shrimp which meld beautifully with each other and give us a tasty sandwich. These sandwiches use almond flour bread slices which are a low-carb, grain & gluten-free alternative to traditional bread. This keto Cheesy Garlic Shrimp Sandwich is not dairy-free and not for those with dairy intolerance but we can make this recipe dairy-free by substituting the butter with plant-based butter, and cheese with dairy-free cheese. This sandwich only contains 5g net carbs, & 3g fiber/serving.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 slices of almond
  • ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10 medium shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted & soft butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • One tablespoon olive oil
  • One teaspoon lemon juice
  • Two tablespoons chafed Parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTION:

MAKE THE SHRIMP:

  1. First, we can peel and divine the shrimp and then we can wash the shrimp with water.
  2. Take a small bowl and add the salt & pepper, olive oil, lemon juice, onion, & garlic powder.
  3. Mix it with a spoon or whisk.
  4. Then add the shrimp in the bowl and mix it properly with the marinade mixture so that it properly covers the shrimp.
  5. Put the marinated shrimp for 5 minutes in the corner.

COOK THE SHRIMP:

  1. Heat the air fryer at 375 degrees F.
  2. Add the marinated shrimp in the basket and air fry the shrimp for 5 to 6 minutes.
  3. Turn the side of the shrimp in between till the shrimp gets properly cooked and pink.
  4. After 5 to 6 minutes remove the shrimp from the air fryer put them on the plate and let it cool for some time.

PREPARE THE GARLIC BUTTER MIXTURE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Take a small bowl and add the soft butter, salt, parsley, and garlic powder and mix them with the spoon.
  2. Then take the butter knife and we can apply the herb & garlic butter on a side of the bread slice.
  3. Put the shredded cheddar & mozzarella cheese in between the simple side of the bread slice.
  4. Put the cooked shrimp in between them and sprinkle parmesan over the shrimp.

COOK AND SERVE THE SANDWICH:

  1. Put the assembled cheese & shrimp sandwich in the basket and air fry the sandwich for 5 to 6 minutes turn the side in between.
  2. Cook them till the cheese gets melted perfectly and the sandwich gets crispy.
  3. When the sandwich gets crispy and the cheese gets melted put the sandwich on the plate.
  4. Allow it to get cool for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Then take a knife slice the sandwich and serve.

TIPS:

  • I use almond flour bread to make the low-carb sandwich but you can also make this with traditional bread if you are not on the keto diet.
  • We can add either dry or fresh parsley to the sandwich; the use of fresh parsley will improve the flavor.
  • You can also adjust the amount of shrimp in the sandwich according to your desire.
  • We can also add a slice of avocado to make the creamy sandwich.

STORAGE INFORMATION:

FRIDGE:

  • Place the leftover sandwich in an airtight box and store the sandwich for 2 days.

FREEZER:

  • We can wrap the sandwich in aluminum foil and then place the sandwich in an airtight box and store the sandwich for one month.

REHEAT:

  • We can easily warm up this cheesy garlic sandwich in the skillet or the oven as well.
