This Keto Chimichurri Steak Salad is very delicious, tasty, & indulgent. This salad is loaded with the flavors of summer and is also loaded with proteins, and healthy fats, and is also low in carbs. You can easily pair this salad with any type of meat you like, and it is already low in carbs so you don’t need to make much effort to make this a low-carb recipe. This Keto Chimichurri Salad features ingredients like parsley, onions, vinegar, garlic, steak, salt, pepper, & low-carb veggies that are easily available at the grocery store or in the pantry. It only contains 4.1g of fiber, & 2.3g of net carbs in it.

INGREDIENTS:

CHIMICHURRI:

  • 1 cup fresh parsley
  • Three tbsp. sliced red onion
  • Three tablespoon olive oil
  • Three tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 2 pieces garlic
  • ½ tsp. Salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon Red pepper flakes

SALAD:

  • 1 ½ lb. flank steak

INGREDIENTS NOTES:

PARSELY:

  • I use fresh parsley in this recipe, do not use dried ones.

  • I use a small amount of onions to make this recipe low in carbs.

OLIVE OIL:

  • Olive oil is used in the salad and to pan-fry the steak, you can also use avocado oil for this but it doesn’t taste the same.

RED WINE VINEGAR:

  • I use red wine in this salad recipe to give it an authentic taste but you can also use apple cider vinegar or just white vinegar to make this recipe.

GARLIC:

  • I use fresh minced garlic in the chimichurri to improve the flavor.

STEAK:

  • We can utilize less expensive cuts to make this recipe like flank steak or hanger steak, & slice it thinly when we add it to the salad.

LETTUCE:

  • I use the combination of romaine & butter lettuce in this recipe.

LOW-CARB VEGETABLES:

  • I use low-carb vegetables like cucumbers, radishes, avocadoes, & tomatoes to make this salad colorful and tasty.

INSTRUCTION:

CHIMICHURRI:

  1. Take a blender and add the parsley leaves, red pepper flakes, red wine vinegar, black pepper powder, olive oil, & salt in the blender.
  2. Then blend all of the ingredients till we get a smooth paste.
  3. We should taste the sauce and alter the seasoning according to the preference.

SALAD:

  1. Apply the salt & pepper to the steak on each side cook the steak on the grill or in the pan.
  2. Put the steak on the shelf for 5 minutes then slice it thinly with the knife.
  3. Slice all the vegetables to make the salad.
  4. Place the lettuce on the serving plate and add the vegetables and slices of steak on the plate.
  5. Pour the chimichurri sauce over the salad as a dressing.

TIPS:

  • We should perfectly cook the steak and we can check this by the thermometer.
  • You can easily customize the chimichurri salad according to your preference we can add garlic, increase little quantity of red chili flakes to make it spicier, or add more vinegar to make it tangier.
  • We can include some more vegetables like different colors of bell peppers to make them more colorful, and tasty.
  • You can serve the salad without the chimichurri and put the chimichurri in the bowl by itself and people serve it by themselves because if we serve the chimichurri by our self it will make the salad messy.

  • Put the chimichurri sauce in the ice cube tray and keep it for 3 months. We can also store the steak for 3 months but we should slice the vegetables freshly at the time of serving.
