Keto Chipotle Lime Chicken has a unique blend of spices that satisfies your tastebuds and you will never forget the classical taste. Chipotle peppers are smoked, Jalapeno Peppers. They are too spicy but the lime juice and honey lower their spice so, the result is not too spicy but so tasty. This Keto Chipotle Lime Chicken has only 1.4 grams of net carbs per serving and possesses a juicy and tangy taste. It is also straightforward to make and you can grill, bake in an Oven, or Bake in an Air fryer too.

EQUIPMENT:

  • A Blender
  • Large Marination Bowl, 1.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Boneless and skinless chicken breasts, 6
  • 2 tablespoons of Chopped Cilantro.
  • Two cloves of chopped garlic.
  • A Chipotle pepper dipped in Adobo sauce, Medium.
  • Half teaspoon of black pepper.
  • 3/4 tsp. of Cumin, grounded.
  • Kosher Salt 1 teaspoon.
  • Three tablespoons of Honey, sugar-free.
  • 1/4 cup of lime juice, fresh
  • Olive Oil 3 Tbsp.
  • 2 teaspoons of lime zest

INGREDIENT DIRECTIVES:

  • CHICKEN: I prefer Chicken breast and suggest that you soak it in salty water for at least 24 hours before marination. If you would like to omit this part of the process, then you can also use chicken thighs in the recipe.
  • CHIPOTLE: Canned Chipotle peppers in Adobo Sauce can be bought from any grocery store. They work perfectly in the following recipe.
  • GARLIC: I always preferred fresh Garlic to use in any recipe instead of dried garlic powder.
  • LIME: Take fresh lime as you need both its zest and juice
  • CUMIN POWDER: Adding this spice gives the marinade the authentic flavour of the southwest.
  • SWEETENER: The recipe uses keto honey to give it the classical taste but you can use any alternative sweeteners

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Take a blender. Add lime zest, olive oil, lime juice, pepper, chipotle pepper, garlic, salt, cumin, and honey to it.
  2. Blend thoroughly to make a smooth marinade.
  3. Take Chicken Breast in a Large Bowl. Transfer the Marinade from the blender into the Marination bowl and coat all the breasts well.
  4. Let’s wait for at least sixty minutes to let the spices and marinades go inside the chicken.
  5. Raise the grill’s flame to medium-high.
  6. Grill the chicken that has been marinated.
  7. Turn after some time and cook each side very well.
  8. Now take the remaining marinade, brush the chicken with it, and cook more till the brushed marinade is cooked.
  9. Serve it hot with the garnishing of fresh Cilantro on it.

TIPS:

The minimum marination time given by this recipe is an hour but the more time you give the chicken to marinate, the spices will dissolve more till the inside of the chicken.
I suggest that you soak the boneless chicken breasts in salty water before marinating and grilling them because it can be difficult to grill them without drying them out.

STORAGE INFORMATION:

It can remain fresh and can be eaten after 5 days when kept covered in refrigeration.

What can we do to avoid sticking of chicken to the grill?
The recipe includes Olive Oil so there is no chance of sticking. If it still sticks when you are turning, then wait a little bit to cook it properly then the grill will automatically release the chicken
Can we cook this chicken without a grill?
If you don’t have a grill option available then you can also use an Oven or an Air fryer.
Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for thirty or thirty-five minutes in the Oven.
When you are working with an air fryer, you have to bake for twenty or twenty-five minutes at 400 F But as the pan of the Air fryer is small in size that is why you have to bake the marinated chicken in many shifts. While you can bake in Oven or grill the whole chicken breasts at Once that saves your time a lot.
