EQUIPMENT:

  • A ninja creamy, Blender, or an ice cream maker

INGREDIENTS:

  • 300 ml of juice of lemons
  • 1.25 cups of water
  • Zest of lemon, 1 tbsp
  • Three-quarter cup of keto sweetener (granulated)
  • Lemon peel, one strip.

INSTRUCTIONS:

MAKING LEMON MIX:

  1. Place a saucepan on a kitchen counter.
  2. Include the keto sweetener, water, and peel of lemon in that saucepan.
  3. Don’t peel the white part (bitter) that is between the lemon & its peel.
  4. Place the saucepan on a low heat & wait for the sweetener to dissolve.
  5. Cook for about 7 or 8 minutes or till the syrup thickens.
  6. After withdrawing it from the fire, let it cool.
  7. Strain the peel once it is cooled
  8. Squeeze out the lemons.
  9. Include the juice in the syrup & mix.

By Simple Blender:

  1. Transfer the syrup of lemon that you prepare to the trays of ice cubes.
  2. You may also use a loaf pan to freeze for 3 or 8 hours.
  3. Remove the frozen lemon mix from their container.
  4. Chop them into small pieces.
  5. Transfer them to the blender and pulse to make a smooth slush.
  6. Given how long you kept it in the freezer, you have to blitz it many times.
  7. Once you blend it well, place it back into the loaf pan.
  8. Freeze it again for a few hours.
  9. If you have frozen it for many hours, then repeat the blending process.
  10. You have to repeat the process till you get the perfect sorbet.
  11. The extra often you carry out the steps, the more you get light & refreshing sorbet.

USING NINJA CREAMI:

Prepare the mix (lemon)

 

  1. using a similar process as directed above.
  2. Then transfer this mix to the container of Ninja Creami & seal the lid.
  3. Use the freezer for 3 or 8 hours to freeze.
  4. Attach the container to the Ninja Creami once the mix of lemon has been frozen.
  5. Select the “sorbet” function & run the machine at full speed.
  6. In case you’re not content, utilize the “respin” feature.
  7. Repeat the above step till you have your ideal sorbet.

USING ICE CREAM MAKER:

  1. Wait for your lemon mix to come to the surrounding temperature.
  2. Move it over to the ice cream equipment.
  3. Operate by the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. Your sorbet is ready.

SERVING:

  1. Serve a scoop or two of sorbet (lemon)
    in a bowl.
  2. Garnish with zest of lemons.

CREATIVITY WITH THE RECIPE

  1. You may go creative while making the homemade sorbet.
  2. Add fresh fruits that you like. May it be any berries, kiwi, etc.
  3. Use a different citrus fruit juice in place of lemon juice (grapefruit, oranges, or lime)
  4. You may try the fresh herbs of your choice (mint, basil, etc.)
  5. Fill the popsicle molds with the remaining sorbet & freeze them to have the yummy popsicles.
  6. If the lemons you squeezed are big, then keep their skin. Use them as a bowl for serving your sorbet. A creative idea that I like the most!
  7. You may also try serving this lemon sorbet over a scoop of Keto ice cream (vanilla).
  8. Fill the water (sparkling)
  9. or soda water into the bowl over the scoop of sorbet. You will have the floating lemon sorbet.

TIPS:

  1. If you leave your sorbet for too much freezing by mistake, then there is a solution. Again, chop the sorbet into smaller chunks & run it again into the ninja creami.
  2. To have the best lemon sorbet, always try to use the juice that you have squeezed from the fresh lemon.
  3. Always try to use white keto sugar here. Brown sugar substitute will not disturb the taste but the color will be disturbed.

STORAGE INFORMATION:

As the sorbet is a frozen dessert, you can’t keep it in the fridge.

Our sorbet always needs the freezer to store it. You may freeze it for 90 or 100 days. In case of prolonged freezing, you have to chop it again. Then blitz it in the Ninja Creami/ice cream maker.
