It can be stored well for a longer period so anyone can make larger batches and store them for busy days.

EQUIPMENT:

  • Pyrex Casserole Dish
  • Small Bowl
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Saucepan

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Pound beef, Ground and lean
  • One lb Ground Turkey Breast
  • Eggs, Large 2
  • Black Pepper One-fourth tsp.
  • Salt 1 and 1/4 teaspoon
  • One and One-fourth teaspoons of Paprika Powder
  • Dried Thyme 1 & 1/4 tsp.
  • Garlic Powder One and One-fourth tsp.
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour.
  • Plain dry Bread crumbs 3/4 cup.
  • One-fourth cup of Ketchup.
  • Skim Milk 1/4 cup.
  • One and a half tsp. of Cajun Seasoning
  • 4 tbsp. of Butter, Light.
  • Two cups of Beef Broth, Low in Sodium
  • Better Than Bouillon Beef Base 1 Tsp.
  • Brown Sauce and Gravy Master Seasoning One Teaspoon.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Coat the ovenproof dish with nonstick baking spray and set it out of the way.
  2. Set the Oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

LOUISIANA MEAT LOAF:

  1. Grab a sizable mixing basin, Break open the eggs, and use your fork to beat them.
  2. Now add Beef and Turkey Breast. Mix well.
  3. Take a small bowl. Add Black Pepper, Thyme, Salt, Garlic Powder, Paprika, and dried minced Onion.
  4. Mix it well.
  5. Now add this spice, and herb mix in eggs and meat mixture.
  6. Then add Ketchup, Milk, and Breadcrumbs in the Large Mixing Bowl.
  7. Use disposable gloves, clean hands, or a fork to combine the mixture properly.
  8. Transfer it to an oiled baking dish. Bake it for fifty minutes to ensure it cooks thoroughly.

CAJUN GRAVY:

  1. When ten minutes are remaining in the baking of the Casserole, start making Cajun Gravy.
  2. Heat the butter in a saucepan meanwhile, stir the flour and Cajun seasonings together. Now add this Cajun
  3. Flour to the saucepan and roast it for two minutes.
  4. Now add Broth to the flour, a small portion at a time while mixing continuously to make a smooth liquid.
  5. Then add Gravy Master and Bouillon. Stir Continuously while cooking to come to a boil and make it thick.
  6. After that, turn off the heat and permit it to cool so that it may thicken even more.
  7. Meatloaf and Cajun Gravy are ready to serve.

TIPS:

  • MEAT: You can make this recipe with any meat of your choice like Beef, Turkey, Chicken, and Lamb. You can mix the two meats of your choice as well or take a single meat. If you have not exactly 2 pounds of meat available, you can up or down the amount of meat a little. This will not affect the recipe.
  • USE YOUR HANDS: Wash your hands properly or use new food-grade gloves to mix the seasonings with Beef properly. If we are using a fork or spoon to mix, it will not combine thoroughly.
  • EGGS TEMPERATURE: This recipe gives the best texture when your eggs are at room temperature.

    Place the meatloaf in a covered box and place it for 4 days in the fridge.
