FOR BEEF PATTIES:

  • An egg
  • 1/2 tsp. of powdered onion
  • Italian seasoning/oregano(dried), 0.5 tsp.

INGREDIENT NOTES:

PARMESAN CHEESE:

  • It works as a flavorful binding agent. Skip it or use the flour of almonds to go non-dairy.

CABBAGE:

  • Pick the green cabbage & slice it into quarters to have 4 steaks. You may opt for the Napa/Savoy cabbage as an alternative.

SEASONINGS:

  • Use herbs, powdered onion & garlic to season both of the items. You can use powdered mustard for deep flavor, or Chili flakes to make it extra spicy.

CHEDDAR CHEESE:

  • It will give you the melty feel & sharp flavor. You may go for Monterey Jack, Mozzarella, or a dairy-free cheese for the vegan version.

BEEF:

  • Ground beef with 20% fat will work fine for the patties to be juicy. Use vegan ground meat to have a vegan version. Otherwise, go for ground chicken/turkey in place of beef.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Warm up the empty oven at 200 degrees C and get to work.
  2. First of all, spread a sheet of parchment on the baking tray & set it aside.
  3. Now, pick the washed & dried green cabbage.
  4. Lay it out on a chopping board & use the knife(sharp) to divide the cabbage into quarters.
  5. Then, apply oil on every side of each steak.
  6. Sprinkle the paprika, salt, powdered garlic, & powdered pepper to season the cabbage.
  7. Put the items on the baking pan & move them to the oven, which is already heated.
  8. Roast them for a total of twenty minutes while turning the sides after the first ten minutes.
  9. Meanwhile, start making the beef patties.
