    Keto Apple Fritters are a tasty snack for apple lovers. As apples are high in carbs. Diabetic patients or people following the keto diet can’t consume apples. The keto version of these apple fritters is a blessing for all apple lovers. They can enjoy the apple flavor without disturbing their carb count. In place of apples, the recipe uses its low-carb alternative, which is zucchini. You can store them at the normal surrounding temperature. Their glaze gives them a nice look & taste. The keto apple fritters only have 0.9 g of net carbs/per serving.

    EQUIPMENT:

    • A skillet for frying
    • Mixing vessels 3

    INGREDIENTS:

    • Apple essence, 1/4 or 1/2 tsp
    • One Zucchini
    • Almond flour, 2 cups
    • 0.5 cup of macadamia nut milk (unsweetened)
    • Three tablespoons of keto sweetener (your choice)
    • 1 egg
    • Cinnamon, one tablespoon
    • A quarter cup of sour cream
    • Juice of lemon, 2 tsp
    • 0.5 cup of protein powder (unflavored/vanilla)
    • Salt, one teaspoon.
    • 0.25 cup of water
    • Melted butter (unsalted), 1/2 cup
    • 2 teaspoons of xanthan gum
    • Baking powder, 2.5 tsp
    • A tsp of cinnamon powder

    GLAZE MAKING:

    • Vanilla essence, 2 tsp
    • 2 tbsp. of whipping cream.
    • Half a cup of keto sweetener (your choice)

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    APPLE-FLAVORED ZUCCHINI MIXTURE:

    1. Pick a little vessel & place it on your working counter.
    2. Include powdered cinnamon, essence of apple, Zucchini (diced), and juice of lemon (fresh).
    3. You can up or down the amount of apple essence according to your taste requirements.
    4. Mix it well & put it on the side.

    Base of Donut:

    1. Now pick a normal-sized vessel & place it on the working counter.
    2. Include all the dry components in that vessel.
    3. Thoroughly mix them to combine well.
    4. In another bowl, mix all the liquid items.
    5. Combine a mix of solid & liquid items.
    6. Include the apple-flavored zucchini mixture & combine it well
    7. Your mixture of apple fritters is ready.

    FRYING:

    1. Place the skillet (non-stick) on the normal flame.
    2. Include your choice of oil that will be enough to dip the fritters in.
    3. You have to lift out a quarter cup of the dough (apple fritter).
    4. Place it in the heated oil.
    5. In the same way, place the same size of dough till there is space in the pan.
    6. Move the oil with the help of a spoon.
    7. When the bottom side becomes golden brown, then turn it.
    8. Fry until the opposite side turns a golden brown as well.
    9. Dish them out from the oil once they get fried.
    10. Place them on the rack (wired) to come to the surrounding temperature.

    GLAZE PREPARATION:

    1. Pick a small vessel & place it on the kitchen counter.
    2. Gather all the items required for glaze-making.
    3. In that vessel, include cream (heavy), vanilla essence, & keto sweetener.
    4. Mix well & spend a few seconds rotating it in the microwave to have your required consistency.

    You may use the glaze in two ways:

    1. Drip the glaze over the apple fritters.
    2. You may also hold the fritter & dip its top in the glaze.
    3. Keep it back on the wired glaze to set.
    4. Your apple fritters are ready.

    TIPS:

    You can’t use apples in the recipe. As it is too high in carbs & not a keto fruit. You may swap the presence of apple with low-carb zucchini + apple essence. This combo will give you apple texture & flavor without disturbing your carb count.

    If you want to have the perfect fluffy fritters, then the protein powder will work. It helps in raising the fritters.

    STORAGE INFORMATION:

    The recipe yields around 18 fritters. The sole method to complete them is to host a party at your house.
    Pack the remaining fritters in the bag (paper). They will stay fresh at the surrounding temperature in this way.

    FAQs:

    Can we use the air fryer or oven for cooking these fritters?
    The fritters will be better when fried instead of baked/air-fried.

    Why have we not used apples while making the apple fritters?
    We have used the combo of zucchini + apple essence in place of actual apples. The rationale is that we must make the keto version of apple fritters. As apples are too high in carbs, they are not listed among the keto fruits. To have the low-carb version of apple fritters, we have swapped the apple with the combo of zucchini + apple essence.

    Does coconut flour work in the recipe?
    We recommend that you use a quarter cup of coconut flour along with each single cup of almond flour.
