  • 8 bacon slices
  • Oil of olives, a tablespoon
  • 3/4 teaspoon of salt
  • Powdered garlic, 1.5 tsp

INGREDIENT NOTES:

SEASONINGS:
Make a wonderful blend using paprika powder (smoked), powdered peppercorn, salt, & powder of garlic. This blend would be the all-rounder seasoning for our delicious bacon-wrapped chicken breasts.

CHICKEN BREASTS:
In this dish, it calls for chicken breasts, but if someone prefers chicken thighs, you can use those instead.

MAPLE SYRUP:
The use of maple syrup provides a decent flavor to our dish. You may use commercial keto syrup of maple or make it yourself at home. We always recommend the homemade version as it is free from chemicals.

Oil of olives:
Here we apply oil to grab the seasonings. We are using oil of olives in this recipe. If you don’t like its flavor, then You can choose any unflavored oil.

BACON:
Always try to use thin slices of bacon as they crisp with ease. If you don’t find bacon, then swap it with prosciutto as an alternative.

INSTRUCTIONS:

PREPARATIONS:

  1. Switch the oven on at the temperature of 232 degrees C.
  2. Pick a sheet of baking paper and spread the foil on it.
  3. Now take a grill rack & place it on that foil-covered baking sheet.

SEASONING

  1. Wash the breast of chicken & put it on the chopping board.
  2. Remove their moisture with the help of paper towels.
  3. Pick a brush (oil applicator) & apply the oil to both surfaces of the chicken.
  4. Make a blend of all the spices.
  5. Dust the seasoning blend to cover the whole surface from both sides.

ASSEMBLING:

  1. Hold the seasoned breast from one end.
  2. Start wrapping the slice of bacon such that both ends will tuck under the breasts.
  3. Try to avoid overlapping/stretching of the slices.
  4. Secure the ends using a toothpick.
  5. It will take 2 for normal-sized & 3 slices of bacon for large-sized chicken breast.
  6. If you are using the keto maple syrup, then apply it to the bacon slices using the brush.
  7. For every breast of chicken, execute the same procedure with the remaining slices of bacon.

BAKING:

  1. Place the raw bacon-wrapped chicken breast on the grill.
  2. Insert the grill along with the foil-covered pan of baking into the oven that has been preheated.
  3. Set the timer for 18/20 minutes.
  4. Check the interior temperature of the protein with a meat thermometer.
  5. If it shows around 73/75 C, this means that your dish is tender from the inside.
  6. Switch the oven off & take the baked breasts out.
  7. Allow them to settle their juices & raise the internal temperature to almost 5 degrees C.
  8. Your bacon-wrapped chicken breasts are ready to serve.

TIPS:

You may also bake the breasts on the foil-covered baking dish. If you place a baking rack & bake on it, then you will see a significant variation.
Additionally, heat might escape from the bottom.
Our chicken breast would remain safe from the bacon-flavored oil & stem. It will enable you to have more crispy bacon.

Use toothpicks to secure bacon well. It will give you a nice finish.

Don’t stretch the slices of bacon while wrapping them in the chicken breast. Otherwise, when they shrink while baking, the breast will exposed.

The last & safe temperature of the chicken breast is 75 degrees C. After that, there is a chance of burning. You may take them out of the oven at 70/73 C.

Do some steps if you want your chicken to be extra juicy:
Dry the surface of the chicken breasts very well. Then made a solution of salt. Soak the breast pieces in that water for some 15/20 minutes.
These actions will assist you in locking in the moisture. You will enjoy the extra juicy bacon-wrapped chicken breasts.

STORAGE INFORMATION:

FRIDGE:
Pack the remaining of these bacon-wrapped chicken breasts in a locked container. Use the fridge to keep it safe for 3–5 days.

FREEZER:
The freezer option is available here. Arrange the bacon-wrapped chicken breast in a tray. Freeze for one hour, or until the mixture solidifies. Place them into the bag (freezer safe). This will keep them intact & also save space in the fridge.
When you need to bake them, transfer them to the fridge to defrost.
Then bake as directed above.

REHEAT:
Use the oven or air fryer at 350 F to heat the bacon-wrapped chicken to have it crispy. Microwave can also do the work but then the bacon will not be crispy anymore.
