SALAD VEGGIES:

  • 2 normal-sized green onions
  • Coleslaw mix, 14 ounces
  • Seeds of sunflower, One-fourth cup
  • 1 normal-sized bell pepper

ASIAN DRESSING:

  • A quarter tsp of red pepper (crushed flakes)
  • 3 tbsp of soy sauce
  • Salt, 0.5 teaspoons
  • 2 tablespoons oil of olives/avocado
  • 0.5 teaspoon of powdered garlic
  • One tbsp of vinegar (white wine/rice)
  • 2 teaspoons of sesame oil (roasted)

INGREDIENT NOTES:

OIL:

  • We are using the oil of roasted sesame here for its wonderful taste & aroma. You may go for the oil of raw sesame seeds as well.

GREEN ONIONS:

  • Instead of using green onions, you may use shallots/onions. We are using green onions that complement the other items well.

ACIDIC ADDITION:

  • you may include vinegar(rice, apple cider, white wine, etc.) or juice of lime/lemon for that particular sharp flavor that enhances all the other flavors.

COLESLAW MIX:

  • Using the pre-made mix of coleslaw will save you time & effort a lot. If you have time & energy to have the proper homemade salad then Shred the carrots, green cabbage, & red cabbage. keep the ratio of cabbage more to the carrots. As carrots are not keto-approved.

SOY SAUCE:

  • We are using the soya sauce here. if you are allergic to soy then simply swap the soya sauce with the coconut aminos.

BELL PEPPER:

  • These are crunchy and full of nutritious veggies. You may also go for tomatoes, celery, or cucumbers as well.

OIL OF OLIVES:

  • You are completely allowed to use any oil of your choice. We are going for the oil of olives in our recipe.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Pick a big vessel on your working shelf & include all the items for dressing in it.
  2. Mix to combine them well.
  3. Give the veggies a good rinse to clean them from dirt.
  4. Slice the green onions & dice the bell peppers using a good knife & chopping board.
  5. Additionally, shred the carrots and cabbage if you are not using the coleslaw mix.
  6. Include all the veggies with sunflower seeds in the dressing vessel.

  8. If you have made it earlier then keep the vessel containing salad covered in the fridge.
