EQUIPMENT:

  • Instant pot
  • Microwave
  • Bowl

INGREDIENTS:

  • one 340-gram whole chicken
  • olive oil, 3 tbsp
  • 2 and a half spoons of salt
  • one teaspoon of pepper
  • two teaspoons of smoked paprika
  • one teaspoon of dried thyme.
  • half a teaspoon of dried basil
  • one tsp of garlic (powder)
  • half a teaspoon of chili powder.
  • half a teaspoon of onion (powder)
  • one onion
  • garlic (2 cloves)
  • one of lemon (juice)
  • one cup of water

INGREDIENTS NOTES:

  1. I use a normal chicken of 3-4 Ib; you can take any size of the chicken as per your requirement and need.
  2. If you are using a large chicken, you have to increase the amount of the spices.
  3. I use simple water in the recipe; you can also take chicken broth for it.
  4. As the recipe is about the instant pot, you can use the microwave at your ease.
  5. I have mentioned all the spices, but you can use other alternative herbs of your own choice.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. First of all, rub the olive oil gently on the whole chicken.
  2. Olive oil should be properly seasoned on the chicken.
  3. Salt, chili powder, black pepper, thyme, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and basil are basic herbs in this keto chicken.
  4. Now mix all the herbs well, add lemon juice, and rub them on the chicken.
  5. You can use garlic and onion in the marination to bring an extra and unique taste.
  6. The onion and the garlic will make the chicken tangy, and lemon juice makes it juicy.
    Turn on the instant pot and pour olive oil into it.
  7. Include the chicken in the pot with care.
  8. Cook one side for 5 to 6 minutes and allow it to brown.
  9. Take the kitchen tong and turn over the side of the chicken.
  10. Cook the other side of the chicken without interrupting for 5 to 6 minutes.
  11. Now take off the chicken from the instant pot.
  12. You have to add water, or you can use chicken broth in the instant pot and place the stand in it.
  13. Cover the instant pot with a lid, seal it, and press the button to produce heat.
  14. Now turn on the manual or pressure cooker mode for 24 minutes.
  15. The instant pot takes some time to release pressure.
  16. When the chicken is ready, the timer will beep.
  17. Allow to release the whole pressure for 15 to 20 minutes.
  18. Your roast is ready; put it on the larger plate or tray.
