Keto Peanut Butter Protein Bombs are a quick and easy-to-make snack. You can have it whenever you need some protein boost as they are very low in carbohydrates. They don’t even require any kind of cooking. Peanut butter in it gives the essential amount of fat that leads the body to the metabolic situation which is “ketosis”. The added protein powder and hemp seeds make these balls the protein bomb. This is the best and most healthy snack for individuals on ketosis. EQUIPMENT:

  • A heat-resistant bowl
  • 1 microwave.
  • A refrigerator

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3/4 cup of Unflavored/vanilla whey protein isolate.
  • Two-thirds cup of peanut butter, creamy.
  • Swerve confectioner, 1/3 cup.
  • One-fourth cup of chocolate chips, mini.
  • 2 tablespoons of oil (avocado or coconut)

PROTEIN POWDER: The recipe uses whey protein isolate as it gives more amount of proteins.
CHOCOLATE CHIPS: They are not a compulsory ingredient but if you like them in your protein bombs then use sugar-free mini chocolate chips.
PEANUT BUTTER: Any nut butter works fine but the recipe here uses peanut butter. If the peanut butter you are going to use is natural and creamy then your protein bombs will be too rich.
FLOUR: The flour here needs to give the texture of the dough to the liquid ingredient. You are free to use almond, coconut, or peanut flour.
SWEETENER: If you use granular sweeteners then your protein bombs won’t be smooth that’s why always use powdered sweeteners.
HEMP SEEDS: They are optional but if you are making protein bombs then using hemp seeds helps you boost the protein content of your food.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Place the butter along with peanut butter in a heat-resistant bowl.
  2. Insert it in the microwave to melt
  3. Mix them well once they melt completely.
  4. Now add sweetener, almond flour, hemp seeds, vanilla essence, and Protein isolate.
  5. Mix to combine well till the dough can roll into balls.
  6. Add the chocolate chips and distribute them evenly in the whole dough
  7. Make twenty balls from the prepared batter, each ball should be 1 inch in diameter.
  8. Refrigerate them so they get strong and won’t break due to the firmness of butter and peanut butter.

  1. You can personalize these protein balls by using your choice of flour or butter. The recipe gives you one item but you can use which one you want.
  2. You are most welcome to use any nut butter or nut flour.
  3. You can increase or decrease the sweetener as per your taste.
  4. If you got too firm a batter, you must add oil to set its consistency.
  5. If the batter is too oily or somewhat runny, add more flour to make its balls.
  6. You also don’t need to stick to a single protein powder as there are lots of options and you have to decide by yourself which option suits you best.

PROTEIN POWDER OF WHEY: It has two types. A vanilla or unflavored. You have to decrease the amount of sweetener and vanilla essence if using vanilla-flavoured whey protein powder.

Coming towards the sweeteners, we divide them into three types:
GRANULAR SWEETENERS – Never use granular sweetener here or you will be in great difficulty as it will not mix and give you the grainy texture
POWDERED SWEETENERS – They will be easy to mix and give a smooth texture.
LIQUID SWEETENERS – These are too easy to combine and never give a granular texture. They disturb the liquid-to-solid ratio of ingredients. You have to include more flour to set the consistency of the dough.

STORAGE INFORMATION:

Keep the balls covered in a container. You can keep the ball container on the counter for two days.
FRIDGE: You have to eat these protein bombs within a week if their box is in the fridge.
FREEZER: If you keep the container having peanut butter protein bombs in the freezer then they can remain safe for many months.

What happens if we use any other sweetener?
