INGREDIENT NOTES AND THEIR SUBSTITUTIONS:
GROUND BEEF:
- We use lean ground beef to provide a juicy, protein-rich, and savory filling. As an alternative, you can use ground lamb or ground chicken.
KALAMATA OLIVES:
- We use Kalamata olives to provide a salty and briny Mediterranean flavor. Green olives can be used as a substitute.
FETA CHEESE:
- Feta adds a creamy, tangy, and salty flavor to the beef filling. You can replace it with goat cheese.
RED BELL PEPPER:
- We use red bell pepper to add sweetness, color, and freshness. Yellow or orange bell peppers are good alternatives.
PARSLEY:
- Fresh parsley adds freshness and herbal flavor.
OLIVE OIL:
- Olive oil adds Mediterranean flavor and helps the samosas become golden and crisp. Avocado oil can also be used.
SAMOSA PASTRY:
- Thin samosa pastry creates a crisp and golden exterior. Thin phyllo pastry can be used as an alternative.
