INGREDIENT NOTES:
SOURDOUGH BOULE:
- Utilize the sourdough boule to prepare this pull-apart bread, and it will provide a crispy crust & chewy texture. We would also utilize crusty artisan bread or a round French loaf instead if required.
BRIE CHEESE:
- Include Brie cheese to provide a smooth & creamy texture. It will also provide a rich, buttery taste and melt beautifully between the bread pieces. We would also utilize Camembert, reduced-fat Brie, or a mild vegetarian-friendly soft cheese instead if required.
CRANBERRY SAUCE:
- Add cranberry sauce to provide sweetness and a slightly tangy taste to the bread. It will also balance the creamy Brie cheese and provide a festive color. We would also utilize lingonberry jam, raspberry preserves, or lightly sweetened berry sauce instead if required.
DRIED CRANBERRIES:
- Utilize dried cranberries to provide fruity sweetness and a chewy texture. They will also enhance the cranberry flavor throughout the bread. We would also utilize chopped dried cherries, raisins, or finely chopped dried apricots instead if required.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- First, warm the oven to 375°F and cover the sheet with foil.
- Put the sourdough boule on the foil and cut the crosshatch pattern in the loaf.
- Open the cuts and tuck the Brie slices in them; include cranberry sauce as well.
- Sprinkle dried cranberries on the loaf, then whisk 2 tbsp melted butter, 2 tbsp honey, half tsp thyme, and black pepper.
- Drizzle the butter mixture over the cuts and wrap the loaf with foil to bake for 15 minutes.
- Now open the cuts and bake them for 12 minutes, then include walnuts, maple syrup, cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt in the skillet.
- Cook the ingredients for four minutes & mix in the remaining 3 tbsp melted butter, 1 tbsp honey, half tsp thyme, and ¼ teaspoon of sea salt.
