Ket Buffalo Shrimp

Keto Buffalo Shrimp is one of the most well-liked seafood dishes at restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters. Additionally, the flour and breading in this dish definitely caused you to pass if you’re trying to cut carbs.

My recipe for Buffalo Shrimp is crisp, spicy, and keto-friendly. I put the shrimp in a grain-free breading, cook them in avocado oil, and then drizzle them with buffalo sauce. Enjoy this with a simple roasted vegetable, lettuce wrap, or salad.

Healthy Breading

Similar to my Low Carb Bang Bang Shrimp dish, this buffalo shrimp employs a keto-friendly breading. Although I use coconut flour, you can use any other grain-free flour of your choice in its place.

You’ll see that the breading also includes Hilo Life Piece-a-Pizza. I worked with them to provide a simple dish for a family movie or game night on Instagram.

You can substitute the breading from my Air Fryer Keto Shrimp if you don’t have any crispy cheese snacks on hand.

When fried as instructed, this recipe performs best. I use a shallow fry, which means there is just enough oil to cover the shrimp’s shell on one side and the bottom of the pan.
Use coconut oil or avocado oil only, as these can withstand high heat without burning.

Buffalo sauce is one of the dish’s primary ingredients. I use the same buffalo sauce that I did for the pizza with a cauliflower crust and the air-fried buffalo wings. It contains both butter and spicy sauce.

Serving Suggestions for This

Serve this buffalo shrimp with a side salad to keep things simple. If you enjoy tacos and wraps, you could also serve it with my cheese taco shells or wrap it up in a fresh leaf of green lettuce.

This buffalo shrimp would make a great addition to my BLT Avocado Salad if you wanted to up the taste. It would be fantastic to combine the flavors of the buffalo shrimp with the bacon, avocado smoothness, and ranch dressing.

Ingredients

1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp
1 big beaten egg

Breading

  • a third cup of coconut flour
  • Hilo Life Piece-a-Pizza, 1 pack
  • 1/4 tsp Natural Ancient Sea Salt,
  • Black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1-tablespoon dried parsley

Garnishes & Toppings

  • a half-cup of buffalo sauce, For pan frying, I used the sauce from my Air Fryer Buffalo Wings, blue cheese crumbles, optional chopped green onion

Instructions

  1. Blend the Hilo Life with the coconut flour and seasonings (or food processor). until it resembles breadcrumbs, pulse.
  2. Following an egg coating, the shrimp are dusted with the flour mixture. Place aside.
  3. In a pan, heat avocado oil to medium-high temperature.
  4. For one to two minutes(fry the shrimp in the oil) on each side. To remove any extra oil, set aside on a paper towel.
  5. Add your preferred buffalo sauce, blue cheese crumbs, and green onion slices to the shrimp as a garnish. Dip your bread in blue cheese dressing.

  • glucomannan or xanthan gum, 1/2 tsp.

Shrimp

  • 2 tbsp. of butter (unsalted)
  • Peeled and deveined 1 1/2 lb. big shrimp
  • pepper and salt as desired

Instructions

Buffalo sauce with honey

  1. All the ingredients should be mixed thoroughly and smoothly in a medium bowl.

  2. Turn on the heat to medium-high in a big skillet. Melt the butter after adding it.
  3. Add the shrimp in a single layer once it’s heated. Heat TWO minutes on one side before turning them all over and cooking the second side. The shrimp should be lightly browned and bright pin.
  4. To transfer the shrimp to a plate, use a slotted spoon. Cook the sauce in the pan for two to three minutes, or until it thickens.
  5. Return the shrimp to the pan, coat with the sauce, and heat thoroughly. Serve right after after seasoning to taste with salt and pepper.
