INGREDIENTS:

KETO CHICKEN TENDER:

  • 1 cup crushed pork rinds
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • One egg (large)
  • One tbsp. water
  • 1 ½ lb. chicken tenders

HOT HONEY SAUCE:

  • ¼ cup Allulose sauce
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1-2 tbsp. Tapatio hot sauce

INGREDIENT NOTES:

PORK RINDS:

  • For keto dishes, crushed pig rinds, often known as pork panko, work well as a breading. But you can substitute almond flour.

CHICKEN:

  • The tiny bits on the inside of the chicken breast are called chicken tenders, and they come from the breast. Alternatively, you may just use whole breasts that have been sliced up into smaller pieces.

ALMOND FLOUR:

  • To make my breading last longer, I like to add some almond flour, but if you’d like, you may use only pork rind crumbs.

EGGS:

  • To assist the coating adhering to the tenders, you will need to use an egg wash.

KETO HONEY:

  • The secret to the delectable spicy sauce is a keto honey alternative. Although the Choc Zero honey is also effective, I truly enjoy this Allulose honey.

SPICY SAUCE:

  • Choose a spicy sauce, such as Tapatio, that has no carbohydrates per serving. Buffalo sauce is another option.

BUTTER:

  • Butter is used to create a creamy glaze in this sauce, just as in Buffalo wings.

SEASONING:

  • Cayenne, paprika (smoked), (garlic powder), pepper and salt.

INSTRUCTION:

  1. Take a bowl (shallow) and add 1 cup crushed pork rinds, ½ cup almond flour, 1 tsp. smoked paprika, ½ tsp. garlic powder, and ¼ tsp. cayenne, salt & pepper (to taste).
  2. Mix all the ingredients properly with the whisk.
  3. Take a separate bowl (shallow) and add 1 large egg and 1 tbsp. Water and whisk it properly.
  4. Take a piece of chicken tender and dip in the egg shear off the excess egg mixture and dip it in the pork rind mixture and again shear off the excess coating and put these on a prepared wax paper tray.
  5. Follow the same method to coat all the chicken tenders.
  6. Heat an air fryer at four hundred degrees F and apply the oil on its rack with the brush.
  7. Put these coated chicken tenders in the air fryer and cook them for 8-10 mints.
  8. Flip these tenders in between for even cooking.
  9. When it is done take out the rack with chicken tenders and cools it.

HOT HONEY SAUCE:

  • Meanwhile, the chicken is cooking in the air fryer.
  • Take a small saucepan and add ¼ cup Allulose honey, 2 tbsp. butter, and 1-2 tbsp. Tapito hot sauce.
  • Cook it till thicken on low flame.

TIPS:

  • In this keto recipe of hot honey chicken tenders, I use a combination of pork rinds and flour (almond) for breading. We will use just pork rinds or just flour (almond).
  • Only pork rinds make it crispier.
  • If you want to use only flour (almond); mix it with ½ cup parmesan (grated) for the same results.
  • Do not add salt to the breading without tasting it because most of the pork rind breading contains salt.
  • If you do not like spicy food, just omit the cayenne in the coating and make its syrup with butter and Allulose honey.

STORAGE INFORMATION:

FRIDGE:

Put these hot honey chicken tenders in a sealed box and stock it up for 4 days.
Hot honey sauce will also be stored in a jar or bottle almost for a week.
*** If you stock it up after cooking it will not remain crispy as fresh.

FREEZER:

  • Put the uncooked honey chicken tenders in the freezer for about a month in the sealed container.
