With their savory seasonings and tender texture, these low-carb delights are a delicious way to enjoy a classic burger while maintaining your ketogenic lifestyle.

Servings: Makes 4 burger patties

  • 1 pound ground beef (preferably 80% lean)
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, approximately 1/2-inch thick. Press the center of each patty slightly to create an indentation, as the patties tend to puff up during cooking.
  3. Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 135-140°F (57-60°C), medium is around 145-150°F (63-66°C), and well-done is around 160°F (71°C) or higher.
  5. Once cooked to your liking, remove the burger patties from the grill or skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
  6. Serve the keto burger patties with your preferred low-carb burger buns or lettuce wraps, and top with keto-friendly toppings such as lettuce, tomato, avocado, sugar-free ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise.
